SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Department of Justice Act to require the Attorney General of Canada to defend the Acts and decisions of Parliament and to uphold the proper constitutional relationship between the Attorney General of Canada and Parliament and also to preserve the balance of the constitution.
This enactment also repeals the provision of the Supreme Court Act that authorizes the Governor in Council to refer questions of law or fact to the Supreme Court of Canada for its opinion on the questions so referred.
