SUMMARY |

The purpose of this enactment is to amend the Firearms Act to
remove the need to register ``long guns'' and to repeal the offences
under the Criminal Code that are related to having an unregistered
``long gun'' or being in a vehicle in which there is an unregistered ``long
gun''.
