RECOMMENDATION |

His Excellency the Governor General recommends to the House of
Commons the appropriation of public revenue under the circumstances,
in the manner and for the purposes set out in a measure entitled ``An Act
to provide borrowing authority for the fiscal year beginning on April 1,
1997''.

SUMMARY |

This enactment provides borrowing authority to the Government for
the 1997-98 fiscal year.
