SUMMARY |
|
|
|
These amendments to the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act
provide:
|
|
|
|
- for the creation of a participant funding program to encourage
Canadians to participate at hearings conducted by public review
panels;
|
|
|
|
- that, to the extent possible, only one federal environmental
assessment is conducted with respect to a project; and
|
|
|
|
- that the response of a responsible authority to the recommendations
of a review panel is subject to Governor in Council approval.
