C1 NOTES

This bill would prohibit former members of Parliament from collecting a pension while employed by the Government of Canada, an agency of the Government of Canada, or a federal Crown Corporation.

The bill would also provide that a former member is not eligible to collect a pension until reaching the age of sixty. The beneficiaries of a member or former member who died before the age of sixty would not be able to collect a pension until the member would have been sixty.
