On June 19, 2019, , Mr. Randy Boissonnault, M.P., Vice-Chair of the Canadian Section of ParlAmericas, tabled a report in the House of Commons on behalf of the Canadian Section of ParlAmericas.

The report summarizes bilateral meetings that were held in Brasilia and São Paulo, Brazil from April 24–26, 2019. The Honourable Bob Nault, P.C., M.P., who is Chair of the Canadian Section of ParlAmericas and President of ParlAmericas, led a delegation of Canadian parliamentarians to meetings with Brazilian legislators, business leaders, academics, Indigenous leaders and representatives of civil society organizations to discuss trade, security, transparency and Indigenous peoples' rights, among other topics. "With a new administration in Brazil, it was important for Canadian Parliamentarians to meet with their Brazilian counterparts to discuss shared values and priorities,” stated Mr. Nault. “In addition to establishing relationships with them, we were pleased to have discussions with governmental officials, representatives of a range of non-government entities, and members of the business community."

Mr. Nault concluded: "Our meetings in Brasilia and São Paulo reinforced the reality that Canada and Brazil, and their citizens, have much in common. We have every reason to believe that our countries will continue to work together on issues where we have common cause, and where a broader and deeper relationship would have benefits for each nation."
