Canadian parliamentarians to meet with incoming Mexican Government Cabinet Members
“This is a great opportunity for members of the Canadian Section of ParlAmericas to develop relationships with the incoming government of President-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador”
(OTTAWA) October 19, 2018 – On Monday, October 22nd, Canadian parliamentarians led by the Honourable Bob Nault, P.C., M.P., President of ParlAmericas and Chair of the Canadian Section of ParlAmericas, will meet with a delegation of Secretaries-designates from Mexico.
The Secretaries-designates will assume their cabinet positions on December 1st, when the incoming government of President-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador is inaugurated.
“I’m pleased to have the opportunity to welcome to the Parliament of Canada, this important delegation comprising individuals who will be key members of Mexico’s next government,” stated Nault. “Canada and Mexico share many common values and the two countries have a strong interest in ensuring security and prosperity throughout the hemisphere.”
