SUMMARYThis enactment amends the Canadian Multiculturalism Act to provide that it does not apply in Quebec.

PreambleWhereas Quebecers form a nation and therefore possess all the tools needed to define their identity and protect their common values, including as regards the protection of the French language, the separation of state and religion, and gender equality;Now, therefore, His Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:R.S., c. 24 (4th Supp.)Canadian Multiculturalism Act

1The Canadian Multiculturalism Act is amended by adding the following after section 2:Application

Exemption2.1This Act does not apply in Quebec.
