SUMMARY

The Land Titles Act has been repealed with respect to the Northwest Territories and the Yukon Territory, but remains in force with respect to Nunavut.

This enactment changes the meaning of full age (of majority) in various provisions of the Act to eighteen years. It ensures that ``infant'' and ``infancy'' in relation to land transactions will also mean a person under eighteen. The Act will then be interpreted consistently with the definition of ``child'' proposed by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child as a person who is less than eighteen years old.
