SOMMAIRE
Le texte modifie la Loi de l’impôt sur le revenu afin de prévoir que le gain en capital imposable d’un contribuable pour une année d’imposition, tiré de la disposition d’un bien, est égal à zéro si la disposition consiste à faire don à un donataire reconnu d’un montant en monnaie virtuelle admissible.
SUMMARY
This enactment amends the Income Tax Act to provide that a taxpayer’s taxable capital gain for a taxation year from the disposition of a property is equal to zero if the disposition is the making of a gift in an eligible virtual currency to a qualified donee.

1 Le sous-alinéa 38a.1)(i) de la Loi de l’impôt sur le revenu est remplacé par ce qui suit :
1 Subparagraph 38(a.1)(i) of the Income Tax Act is replaced by the following:

(i) la disposition consiste à faire don à un donataire reconnu d’une action, d’une créance ou d’un droit coté à une bourse de valeurs désignée, d’une action du capital-actions d’une société de placement à capital variable, d’une part d’une fiducie de fonds commun de placement, d’une participation dans une fiducie créée à l’égard du fonds réservé, au sens de l’alinéa 138.1(1)a), d’une créance visée par règlement ou Insertion start d’un montant libellé dans une monnaie virtuelle admissible Insertion end ,
-
(i) the disposition is the making of a gift to a qualified donee of a share, debt obligation or right listed on a designated stock exchange, a share of the capital stock of a mutual fund corporation, a unit of a mutual fund trust, an interest in a related segregated fund trust (within the meaning assigned by paragraph 138.1(1)(a)), a prescribed debt obligation or Insertion start an amount denominated in an eligible virtual currency Insertion end ,
2 Le paragraphe 221(1) de la même loi est modifié par adjonction, après l’alinéa i), de ce qui suit :
2 Subsection 221(1) of the Act is amended by striking out “and” at the end of paragraph (i) and by adding the following after that paragraph:
