SUMMARY
This enactment requires the Government of Canada to enter into negotiations with the Government of Quebec if the latter submits to its voters in a referendum a clear question concerning a constitutional change and the majority of valid votes cast are in favour of the proposed change. It also replaces chapter 26 of the Statutes of Canada, 2000.
